CANTON, GA -- Students from Sequoyah High School will perform a one act play, Susan L. Szeder's "Do Not Go Gentle," at the 2011 Georgia Thespian Conference at Columbus State University.

Only 35 schools in the state were invited to perform at the conference. Sequoyah High is the only Cherokee County school that will be represented.

Sequoyah High's production of "Do Not Go Gentle" placed third in the 2010 Region 7AAAA One Act Play Competition. It also received the award for Best Set, a prize that Sequoyah High has taken home for five consecutive years.

The Georgia Thespian Conference will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Columbus State University Theater.
