The Called Woman to help women reinvent their careers

The Called Woman to help women reinvent their careers

MARIETTA, Ga. -- You know you've been here before, asking yourself what you should do with the rest of your life.

Or maybe you're already realizing you have some great ideas, but you just don't know where to start making any of them happen.

Maybe you are just getting back into the work force, or maybe you are stuck in an unfulfilled career just wishing you did something you loved, something that made a difference, something that made you excited to get up in the morning and get started living your dream, realizing your purpose and making your passion happen.

That can all change on March 15, 2014!

Does this sound familiar? Recent studies revealed that only 53% of Americans were content with their jobs and less than 10% were truly satisfied. But what if you could actually spend a whole day learning how to reinvent yourself? You can and it's happening this March at the Called Woman Conference in Marietta.

Stevi B's raises $1,000 for Woodstock family

WOODSTOCK, Ga. -- Stevi B's Pizza Buffet in Woodstock and Canton recently hosted a week long fundraiser to benefit the Chenault family of Woodstock.

The Chenaults' Woodstock home was destroyed in a tragic fire in May 2013. Stevi B's customers raised a total of $1,000 for the family to help them rebuild their lives.

Stevi B's would like to thank both the Rose Creek Publix and Ingles for each donating a cake for the fundraiser. Butterfly Jones, a local clown, donated her time to come out during the week and entertain the kids eating at Stevi B’s. A special thanks to the Cherokee County firefighters at Station 24 who brought out one of their trucks for the kids to see as well as ate at the restaurant.

Visit the Georgia Mountains

Visit the Georgia Mountains

Have you ever driven through the Georgia Mountains? It is an amazing experience. The drive to Helen through the mountains is breath taking. You have to be comfortable driving around curves and getting a little light headed now and then, but the view is picture perfect every single mile. Then once you get down to Helen, make sure to take your appetite with you because the food is delicious and the sceneray is a place you want to make sure you take in.

The last time I went down to Helen we went Horse Back Riding and Tubing. The tubing was even $5. Fun for $5. That is what I always look for, or free if I can get it.

In addition to Helen, there are literally hundreds of awesome spots in the North Ga. Mountains that so few people know about. Small Ma & Pop owned diners, cabin rentals, specialty campgrounds and much more. Stop by and see what to do in the North Ga Mountains.
