CANTON, Ga. -- Police in Cherokee County are working to identify the man accused of robbing a Canton pharmacy at gunpoint.
It happened Saturday at around 7:30 a.m. at the CVS at Hickory Flat Highway and East Cherokee Drive.
Witnesses told police the suspect forced two CVS employees into a back room, where he stole cash. They described the suspect as a black man wearing a mask and dark clothing. He was armed with a handgun.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said the robbery is very similar to one committed in early December at the CVS in Canton's Sixes community.
Anyone with information in this case is asked to call 911.
