Officials: New I-575 interchange opens early, on budget | News

(ATLANTA BUSINESS CHRONICLE) -- The $17.1 million Ridgewalk Parkway interchange, which will provide direct access from Interstate 575 to the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta set to open next summer and provide traffic relief on Towne Lake Parkway and Sixes Road, has opened ahead of schedule, reports The Cherokee Tribune.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the diamond-shaped roadway is scheduled for Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Georgia Department of Transportation officials said construction of the interchange at Exit 9 has been completed on budget and a month and a half ahead of schedule, the newspaper reports.
