House fire spreads to wooded area in Cherokee Co. | News

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. -- Fire department crews responded to a house fire which ended up spreading to some nearby woods Monday afternoon.

Officials said that when fire crews arrived at the home on Cherokee Gold Trail after 3 p.m., they found that the fully involved house fire had spread to some nearby woods. Crews were able to to contain the fire in the woods, but said the home was a total loss.

No one was reported inside the home, and no injuries were reported.
