ATLANTA -- Three Walmart stores in Metro Atlanta recently began extensive renovations.

The locations will each receive a full remodel from the inside out, representing the latest in Walmart's store design and customer experience.

"We are excited to bring an improved shopping experience to our customers," said Kenny Banks, manager of the Snellville Walmart, one of the three stores slated for remodeling. "We listened to our customers and are redesigning the store to make shopping at Walmart even easier."

The three stores, which are currently going through the renovations, are:

* Canton  (1550 Riverstone Parkway)
* Newnan (1028 Highway 34 East)
* Snellville (3435 Centerville Highway)

Canton and Snellville are expected to finish their renovations in June, while Newnan will be done in July.

Every department of the three stores will be updated, including new shelving, signage, flooring and product assortment. Snellville and Canton have each hired approximately 75 additional associates to help with the remodels.

The Newnan store has served South Metro residents since 1982, while the Canton store opened in 1983. The Snellville store, which opened in 2006, is the newest of the three stores.
