Canton girl's drawing to be featured on Lands' End T-shirt | Style
CANTON, Ga. -- A 9-year-old girl from Canton is one of two grand prize winners in the Lands' End Kids' Art Contest.
Anna Varady's winning design will be printed on a T-shirt the Wisconsin-based retailer will sell on its website this fall. She also received a $500 Lands' End gift card.
Anna's drawing features a giant tree with swirly branches and a friendly bird. The words "Reduce Reuse Recycle" are printed beside the tree.
"With its bright colors and bold graphics, Anna's design will look great on a T-shirt," Lands' End senior design director Liz Pierce said in a statement.
The Kids' Art Contest encouraged children to create forest-themed T-shirt designs that reflect Lands' End's partnership with the National Forest Foundation.
"We received so many wonderful entries in this contest. It's clear that there are many talented kids out there who love nature and the beauty of a forest," Pierce said.
